PROTECTING TAXPAYERS

If we want a Representative who will stand up for taxpayers, we should vote for someone who has a proven of already doing it. That's why Ryan is the right choice: he has been called a "Taxpayer Hero" for his tireless work to control spending and protect the money we earn.  

As a State Representative, Ryan has never voted for a tax increase and consistently delivered balanced budgets while voting against wasteful spending. 

Leading the fight for increased fiscal discipline that helps us all, when Pennsylvania faced tough economic times, Ryan reviewed the state budget line-by-line and uncovered billions of dollars in special funds collected from taxpayers.  He then fought to use that money to prevent tax increases. He also voted to create "PennWatch" - a statewide database that lets citizens see exactly how the state is spending their money.

He was the prime sponsor of legislation that reformed Pennsylvania's Tax Code to close corporate tax loopholes that were costing taxpayers millions of dollars. Ryan is also the author of a law that is reducing fraud in the collection of local taxes across the state.
