Ryan believes strongly that the safety of our communities starts with strongly supporting the people who put their lives on the line every day to keep us safe.
As our Representative, Ryan will continue to provide our police and emergency responders with the support they need - both financial and tactically - to achieve their core mission: protecting our families. That is why he has voted to provide our State Police the funding needed to add two new Cadet classes and put more police on the streets, and always supports grants to help local municipal police and first responders. He will also continue to oppose radical efforts to "Defund The Police" that result in less security for Pennsylvanians in their homes and neighborhoods.
Ryan also believes that our nation must secure its borders if it wishes to secure its people. That is why he stood up to the liberal special interests and voted against Sanctuary Cities in Pennsylvania.
Finally, Ryan has stood strong for Pennsylvania's veterans who have given so much of themselves to keep America safe. He is the author of the law that created Pennsylvania Startups for Soldiers, and a strong supporter of programs that help wounded combat veterans as they work to return to a normal, everyday life.
