Ryan's commitment to growing our economy and helping job creators by making Pennsylvania more job-friendly has earned him the consistent support of the state's leading organizations who fight for job-creating small businesses: the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) and the PA Chamber of Business and Industry.
He is focused on improving our tax climate in the state. Ryan was the prime sponsor of legislation that was called "The Most Significant Tax Reform In 20 Years" by PA CPA Journal. This law modernized the state's tax code, made our business taxes more competitive with other states, and even eliminated the inheritance tax on small family businesses.
Ryan's efforts to help create jobs and grow our economy go far beyond tax reform though. Other highlights of his time as Representative include supporting affordable job training and career and technical education to ensure a skilled workforce; reducing over-regulation; creating a Made in PA/USA program; and promoting infrastructure improvements and increased access to rural broadband. He also authored bipartisan legislation that requires the use of E-Verify to ensure that only people legally allowed to work in the construction industry are receiving jobs.
